As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to develop, the welfare of our staff, customers and suppliers remains our first priority. We are closely monitoring government guidelines and are following them accordingly.
All of our staff are following government guidance with respect to hygiene and distancing and our offices, warehouse and workshops are still manned; albeit that a number of our staff are working from home where possible.
At present we have good stocks for next day delivery and our supply chain currently remains unaffected. We are continuing to monitor the effect of restrictions on the flow of transport across Europe and worldwide and will keep you updated with any developments.
Leengate Valves would like to thank you for your continued support and send our best wishes to everyone affected in this difficult time.
Our opening hours remain as follows:
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 to 17:30
Friday: 08:00 to 17:00
24th March 2020
With the safety of our customers and staff in mind, we have taken the decision to close our customer collection point as of 5:00pm this evening.
We will continue to process and despatch orders as normal but, as a result of this closure, customer collections will be unavailable until further notice.
We are closely monitoring government advice and will continue to update you of any adjustments to our services.
Please, rest assured, we have good stocks available for next day delivery and will continue to operate as normal as long as we can do so safely and within government guidelines.
Thank you all for your continued support and understanding during these trying times.
Our opening hours remain as follows:
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 to 17:30
Friday: 08:00 to 17:00
25th March 2020
Today we introduced a shift rota for those members of the team who are unable to work from home.
Our shift rota ensures that as few people as possible are in our offices at any one time whilst also ensuring that we have enough staff to continue to process your orders and enquiries as normal.
It is our aim that this rotational system will make distancing far easier and will also help to support our colleagues with school-age children who are unable to work from home.
31st March 2020
Having taken many factors into account, we have now taken the decision to furlough selected employees.
This furloughing of employees has increased distancing and helped us to support our employees with their child care requirements.
We’re still operating a shift rota for those staff remaining and still have sufficient resources available to meet customer requirements.
We are open for business, supplying vital products to help keep Britain going.
6th July 2020
In accordance with government guidelines, we’ve begun to welcome back some of our staff from furlough and working from home. We’re providing sanitiser and cleaning products to all of our staff as well as encouraging safe distancing and good hygiene practices throughout the working day.
27th July 2020
Our Customer Collection Point is open for collection of orders placed in advance ONLY – face coverings must be worn when collecting your order.
4th November 2020
We will remain open as normal throughout the second lockdown and will continue to supply vital products across the UK.
We are following all government advice and have safety measures in place to protect our staff and customers.
6th January 2021
Further to recent developments; we can confirm that we remain open as normal during the early 2021 lockdown and will continue to supply essential products via our network of distributors.
We are constantly reviewing the measures we have in place with the safety of our staff and colleagues in mind. In light of the recent rise in infections across the UK we have reduced the number of staff onsite by encouraging home working and utilising the government’s furlough scheme for selected colleagues. Those staff who remain onsite have access to all necessary sanitisation products and face coverings. We are continuing to monitor government advice.
In spite of the reduced number if staff in physical attendance, please rest assured that service will not be impacted; we are continuing to answer enquiries and process orders as normal.
